Dear Fellow Mingo Women,

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. The day passed quietly and pleasantly. Mingo arrived on time and is now outside talking to our quarter horse, Shadow. That gives me time to post this story. It is my hope that it helps Keats take her mind off her accident. I wrote this story last summer after discussions with Becky, Heather and Suzy regarding Mingo's penchant for injuries. It seems one of the DB show's most dependable plot lines. Anyway, without meaning any disrespect to anyone, here's Mingos Really Bad Day.

Hi Ladies,

Starting off this years' birthday parade is Cynthia. On March 12th, She will celebrate her birthday. This year I will be sending her birthday wishes from afar as we were together in February so I am delaying my March visit until early June. I hope everyone will join me in wishing, Cynthia, a super birthday with lots of cake, ice and bubbly champagne.

Hi Ladies,

As a welcome to new member Emily, I thought I'd share a couple of pictures of Mr. Ames I had not seen before. LOL, actually I found these online last night and couldn't wait to share them with all of you, but it sounded good as a gesture of welcome.

I found them on a My Space ? space I guess you'd call it. I don't know who the guys are with him, just that they are very lucky guys. I'm not sure where this first one in the white tux was taken, but the second one I am certain was taken at the Silver Spurs Awards Dinner in California, I think a couple of years ago.

Enjoy, and if you have seen them before I apologize for the repetition.

PITTSBURGH March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- TJL Productions announced today that PBS will broadcast WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILING - AN IRISH PARADE OF STARS throughout March in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. The latest installment of PBS' popular "My Music" series presents a nostalgic journey back to the 1950s and 1960s featuring long-unseen footage of beloved entertainers singing some of the greatest songs from and inspired by Ireland.

Here is the picture I promised...............that darn Little Fawn!!!! Putting our hero in such an unlikely situation. But then an Upside down Mingo is better than no Mingo at all. Enjoy.

As far as copyrights this picture came from a negative-transparency that I purchased on ebay (not sure how I won it, but I did). I finally took it to a photo shop and they printed a photo for me and I scanned it.

So is it Memorex or is it real? Is it Mr. Ames or is it his stand-in? My personal opinion-----it's Mr. Ames.

Hello Ladies,

Unlike Suzy, here in Arizona we're having a fairly wet winter. To the north of us about 80 miles they're measuring snow in feet, not inches. Here we've have some snow. I'm sending you a photo I took of the snowstorm we had here a month ago, and a photo of our usual winter sky. Our street name is Firesky Lane, and the photo gives you a clue why. I'm thinking about all of you dealing with the severe winter. Being from the midwest, I remember many years like you're enduring. You have my sympathy. I wish I could send you the sunshine; but you'll have to make do with the red evening sky.

I left all of this for a weekend in Phoenix with Suzy who came down with her husband to find some sun.

From the Western Side of El Nino

According to the weather people, the mid-east coast snow storm is the results of El Nino. Here on the western (northwest side to be more exact), El Nino is having the opposite results. Here in State of Washington, January was the warmest it has been since they started to keep records in 1891. Today was sunny and 52 degrees. The daffodils are growing and in some real sunny place they are blooming. As you can see from the pictures below, the crocuses are in bloom in my yard. Trees are budding out and neighbors are mowing the grass.

Our greatest fear is the we will get a freezing cold snap and kill a lot of the plants that are growing too early. This is something that has happened in the past.

I hope that the sight of the pretty crocus brightens your day and that everyone who is covered by snow keeps their power and can enjoy reading and maybe watching a few episodes of DB especially the one featuring Mingo.
