I have Mark Twains' autobiography, and he was quite a character. You start reading it, and you just can't put it down. His many quotes are priceless. I think our Government could really use a man like him right now---to straighten them out!!!!! I do hope that you and your lovely wife don't get clobbered with this latest snow storm. My Aunt in Roanoke says they are to get lots of ice along with the snow. Perhaps since you are on top the mountain, it will run by you. I can not imagine Afton Mountain in a snowstorm!!!! What a horror. Have y'all toured much around the area there? I think that you would find 'Ash Lawn' a treasure. And, lunch at Michie Tavern is a must, they even serve black eyed peas!!!My friends and I hope to come back in the Spring--if the snow ever goes away! I have enjoyed both of your books. The tale of the painting was interesting. I cringed when they tried to clean it though. My Grandmother started to paint when she was 75. She painted scenes from memory of where they had lived and what she had seen. I have a few of these treasures. But, I would be very anxious if someone tried to clean them! Thank you for some wonderful reading. I look forward to many more stories. Take care and stay warm! Fondly, "Becca" Reply to this

Joe, here's a question for you. Now I know that you have written a lot of stories, but what made you 'want' to do that for a living? We here on MW write stories based on the DB series but mostly involving 'Mingo' while the people on the DB website write stories involving 'DB'....Is there an event in your life that made you 'decisive' in writing for a living? I am asking because I have always enjoyed writing 'thing's' but never persued it as a career. Why did you do this as a 'career'? Many people on this site have asked you many things, but I dont' think they have asked you this question, and I am curious. Mom never 'won' any jingle that she submitted, but it never stopped her from subitting others. Thanks for responding to this question! Reply to this

Hello Joe,
Thank you for that very nice Valentine wish. I hope you and Mrs. L. have a wonderful day as well.
I will be heading down to Williamsburg in about three weeks. I was hoping you could provide some warm weather, ha ha.
Take care,

Hi Joe,
Many thanks for the warm thoughts ... the flowers have a sweet fragrance and the candy tastes wonderful!
Would you classify yourself as a romantic? If so, what is the most romantic thing you can remember doing for your wife?
Would Mrs. Lieberman classify you as a
romantic?
Happy Valentine's Day to you and your wife!
Ellen
