Dear Fellow Mingo Women,
June 18th is Suzy's birthday. Please join me in wishing her a very happy birthday filled with delightful things, good friends, and wonderful thoughts of Mingo.

Happy Birthday Suzy!! There probably isn't any kind of a Mingo-ized birthday wish I could send you that you haven't already had or imagined! May your ferry rides be peaceful, your Mountain always be clear and may there always be an Ed Ames song floating nearby to cheer you.

    Dear Suzy,

    Happy Birthday to you,
    Those words seem so few.
    Yet fondly I say on...
    More I cannot wish you.

    Your giving heart and care,
Him (Ed Ames), with me, you did share.
    Like him you are gracious,
With love so kind and fair.

    On yonder hill he remains,
    All other voices he shames.
For you he sings his love song,
And bares the sweet name; Ed Ames.

    Happy birthday! *hugs*

    Dear Ladies,
I forgot to add a historical note to Suzy's birthday announcement. On June 18, 1778, the British abandoned Philadelphia. How's that for a date in history!

That's funny, I heard there are a lot of people who want to abandon Philadephia still today! (snicker)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a nice birthday dinner with my husband on Thursday at my favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle.

Next Saturday, there will be the annual June Birthday party (this year at my house). A number of my friends here have June birthdays so it has become a reason to have a party.

Then in August, my friend, Jamie, will go on our annual SPA Do Nothing Weekend. Her birthday is two days before mine and we believe that you don't just celebrate the day but continue to celebrate until the next year rolls long.

If I am slow in responding right now, it is because I am very busy at work because this is our year's end plus the beginning of a new operating year.

    Thanks again, Suzy
