Little Things About Mingo

I've noticed several interesting things with Mingo while snapping still shots of him and wanted to bring up a few ideas. Besides the change in clothing and wig, I thought it'd be neat to point out a few things that we each notice. In the mean-time, it gives us an excuse to post pictures.

Firstly, I was just watching The Jasper Ledbedder Story and noticed something in many of the scenes...

Take a good look at his coat... do you see anything somewhat awkward (sp?) ?

If the other one wasn't too clear, how about this one? I'll give you a hint... it's not ON his coat.

Another thing, in Onatha, here it looks like he's been hit in the chest—a sure goner.

In actuality, he's been jabbed in the shoulder; no where near the lower chest or stomach. *whew!* But my goodness, he sure gets hurt a lot. I can count the amount of times Boone gets hurt but with Mingo... too many.

I think this has been addressed before, but I've always wondered about the extra "make-up" Ed got on his lip. Whatever happened, it sure made him even more pitiable in his distressed state.

Next, I found something else that caught my attention. This one's not as obvious but you might be able to see something odd... on HIM. (Keats, shhhhh... )

If you noticed something peculiar in the previous picture, look here in the same spot. This might might be easier to see.

One last thing I thought I might add for fun—how many times has anyone caught Ed looking at the fourth wall?...

I took this one a long time ago and didn't catch it, but the scene after this he looks at us for a brief moment.

"Woopsie daisy".... it's ok, Jericho, you don't need to role your eyes; it's not easy to avoid the camera man.

What'd I tell ya?

Watch out fer the camera man behind you, Mingo.

He's doing his best, Becky.

Oooh, close up shot! Just gotta love those eyes.

Maybe this one was intentional, but I can't get enough of that innocent smile!

......weet weeu! =D

lol!

Some of the pictures aren't the best quality but it's all I could get.

Let's not forget that other cute smile. I think this one was intentional on Ed's part. Sure added a nice mischievious touch!

Yep, it's you we're lookin' at.

Don't mind us. =^)

So sweet.....so very sweet.

I think he was suppose to look this direction but I can't tell.

He seemed to have more trouble in this episode than usual.

"hmmmmmmm" lol, he doesn't look too eager to wear that guy's suit.

Gotcha!

He's so sweet. <3

*surprise!* He's just so fun! Say cheese!! I laugh whenever I see this clip.

Have a good weekend, dear Mingo Women!

    Well Inahlee,

I am going to make a guess on a couple of these great photos. I would say in the Jasper Ledbedder pic that it looked like there was a piece of paper or material sticking out just about the top tie string of his coat.

The one from A Rope For Mingo, we thought he may have gotten stung by a bee and that was why his lip was swollen. He did mention that happening in the DVD interviews I think.

And the third one, it looks like he has a nasty bruise on his upper arm, and also in some of the shots you can see his vaccination mark I do believe.

Those were great photos though, thanks for sharing.

hi susie i think your right about the bee sting in the a rope for mingo he did talk about in the interview on the db dvd about a bee sting and it sure looks like it might be. the third one also look like a bruise and possible vaccination mark, but the first i like to offer a different possible i think i see a couple of bottons it looks like to me that mingo instead of wearing this normal sleeveless shirt that he might have on a winter undershirt that they would wear in the winter.i never heard of indians doing it but mingo spent so much time with daniel maybe he decided to wear them too.cathy

Cathy and Susie, I think you're right. It IS a long underwear top. I imagine that buckskin coat chafed a good deal, and the longjohns would have stopped that. What a catch!

    Hi Ladies,

Once again, thanks Inahlee for the beautiful pictures! And as to the various questions, yes, I think it was a bee sting, as he did refer to it in the interview. The coat does have a long underwear top under it, looks like Daniels'. I had a buckskin{leather} jacket much like his in my teen years, a gift from a boyfriend, it was made especially for me in Thailand when he was in the Army--and let me say this--they are very heavy coats too! As to the other pic, I think it looks like a square band aid on his upper arm, along with some nasty bruising. And, lastly--those gorgeous eyes!!! Swoon.......can you imagine having him with you every day!!!!Lucky wife!!!!!
    Happily,
    Rebecca

    Hi Ladies,

I have one question that has had me wondering for some time now....how does Mingo keep from being 'stabbed' by the tomahawk in his belt. Refer to the 10th pic with Jericho--could be dangerous!

They were just careful I guess.  If you watch some of the first season shows, Daniel also carried a tomahawk like that, in his belt around the back of him.  ( trying to say backside in a nice way)  But he did have it stuck through his belt.

      Take care,

      Susie
